Repairing and Restoring Terrazzo Floors

Repairing and Restoring Terrazzo Floors

Terrazzo is one of the most cost-effective, durable flooring types available. It is strong, stain resistant, scratch resistant, bacteria resistant and sustainable.

As difficult as it is to damage a terrazzo floor, there are some instances when it will need to be repaired or restored. When a space is being renovated or reconfigured and a wall is moved, there could be holes in the floor where the sole plate was fastened. If non-neutral or abrasive cleaners are used on a terrazzo floor, the finish may become etched or dull. Like any other type of flooring, if something very heavy is dropped on terrazzo, it may chip or crack.

When a terrazzo floor is damaged, it can be repaired and restored. Very often it is simply a matter of matching the color to repair the damaged area and then regrinding and refinishing the entire floor to bring it back to a flawless surface.

Andreola Terrazzo & Restoration are the experts in the repair and refinishing terrazzo flooring and stone flooring such as marble and granite.
